A big thank you! Our community’s generosity during & since Giving Tuesday has helped launch the Fresh Food Fund.
- Purchases fresh produce, meats, eggs, dairy, and locally made foods directly from trusted RHOM farmers/producers
- Delivers these foods to families in need through Second Harvest, FSU’s Food for Thought Pantry, and the Frenchtown Neighborhood Improvement Association
- Strengthens our local farms & expands access to fresh, nutritious food for our community
Since 2010, the Red Hills Small Farm Alliance has brought together over 100 farmers, ranchers, and food producers through the Red Hills Online Market. With the Fresh Food Fund, we will purchase fresh produce, meats, eggs, dairy, and other local foods directly from these trusted RHOM producers — people we’ve known, supported, and partnered with for more than 15 years.
All Fresh Food Fund purchases will be donated to and distributed by our region’s most effective hunger-relief partners: Second Harvest, FSU’s Food for Thought Food Pantry, and the Frenchtown Neighborhood Improvement Association. These organizations have long-standing, proven systems for getting nutritious food into the hands of our neighbors facing food insecurity.
Your support of the Fresh Food Fund not only helps feed individuals and families in need — it strengthens our local farms, keeps more dollars circulating within our community, and builds a more resilient local food system for everyone. Click here to donate.
